It was possible for me!

Hi! I’m Dr. Steph, just call me Stephanie, and I hated my body for YEARS. And because I hated it I went to a lot of extremes to try to change it. I was miserable and missed out on so many fun memories, opportunities, and experiences because I was too focused on ways to keep shrinking my body. Once I learned to clear all the mental and emotional junk I was able to start loving my body and living the life I always dreamed of - it sounds so cliche, but honestly once I stopped obsessing about food and my body I had the time, energy, and happy emotions to go after my dreams. Now I help people fully recover from eating disorders and body hatred to live a life free of freaking out about the food they eat by giving them the system and tools to properly nourish and accept their body.

The Recovery Academy Is A Support Community

We developed the Academy because there are at least
five reasons why recovery feels so hard

  • You cannot stop obsessing about the way your stomach looks in your jeans, when all you want to really do is enjoy lunch with a friend.
  • You are told to trust and accept your body, but you are not sure you can without having to diet, over-exercise, or worrying about “controlling” yourself around food
  • You practice all the self-care things, but you still beat yourself up for all the mistakes, screw ups, and behaviors you used today. How can you like yourself when you can’t even do recovery right? 
  • You eat, you feel anxious and guilty, you don’t eat you feel depressed, tired, and miserable. You can’t seem to win
  • It is expensive, and you either cannot afford to see a specialist or a specialist is not available to you. So sure, you work with a therapist now, but they just make you feel like “you are not sick enough”

The Recovery Academy has a group support community providing you with 24/7 accountability and peer support.

The community is intimate and smaller than the larger Unfxck Your Body Image group and I am in this group more often offering more specific feedback and support. I really get the chance to know you, your struggle, and your journey. It is also an excellent way to build some recovery support from a tribe of others fighting in their recovery every day.
